Ok, I'm trying to make a realistic light shining through a
cross-shaped hole. I've been trying to use the grid texture with
falloffs (which looks good on round holes), luminosity maps,
transparency maps, etc. but I can't get anything to look good.
I can't figure out what kind of object to use to make this light
look right. We tried creating an object the same shape as the opening,
but the edges were too sharp. If anyone can give a pointer to what
object(s) to use with what attributes to apply, it would be very
much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
